The hassle of losing all your important files and data from a computer crash or a hard drive failure can be really annoying for most of us, fortunately for us, there are ways and tools that we can use in recovering our lost files from our hard drive or computer.
There are two common ways to recover lost files and data from a computer crash or a hard drive failure, In this tutorial, we discuss what seems to be the easiest of the two methods, which is through the use of a hard drive enclosure/case of an existing external hard drive you may already have lying around or by purchasing a new bare external hard drive enclosure/case. On the other hand, the second common method is more tedious because you will need to boot from a live open source operating system (i.e. Linux) on your CD/DVD drive through a CD/DVD and then transfer your files onto an external storage device from there.
* ( In this tutorial you will need an empty/bare external hard drive enclosure and some basic tools to transfer your hard drive and open up your external hard drive enclosure. )
1. First, you will have to remove the hard drive from your computer.
2. Place your hard drive into the empty external hard drive enclousure.
3. Put back together the hard drive case with the hard drive inside, then plug it into the computer.
4. Wait for the computer to detect your hard drive, it should find it automatically.
5. Go to my computer and open up the new drive that will appear there.
6. Copy the files you want and paste them to another hard drive.
