HTML Tutorial – Introduction

HTML stands for Hypertext Markup Language and is the worldwide standard for creating web pages. It is a simple language used to format documents with a set of predefined markup tags such as: headings, paragraphs and tables. These tags are then interpreted by a web browser in order to display the web page. The web site is typically served over the Internet by a web server, which is a computer running a web server application, such as Apache.
